BY AIR: The Seattle-Tacoma (Sea-Tac) airport is the closest major airport. When you arrive and have your luggage, go to door 26 where you will find the desk for Shuttle Express. Tell the attendant (and your driver) that you want to go to the MUKILTEO FERRY dock. (There are several ferries in this region so you must be explicit.) The ferry crossing to Clinton is only twenty minutes, and the ferries run every half-hour during the day and every hour after 9pm. If you need to be met at the ferry when you arrive in Clinton, please call ahead to arrange for this. (If you are taking the shuttle, allow time both for traffic and for other passengers to be taken to other destinations.)
BY CAR: From Interstate 5, take exit 189. You want to go west to the Mukilteo ferry dock. You will go past a Boeing plant and then you will follow signs down the hill to Hwy 525 where you will turn right and go directly to the ferry. The ferry crossing to Clinton is only twenty minutes, and the ferries leave every half-hour during the day and early evening and every hour after 9pm.
When you come off the ferry you will be in the town of Clinton. When you drive up the hill, on your right you will see the Whidbey CyberC@fe and Bookstore (and the LaPaz restaurant).
To reach the Whidbey Institutes retreat center -- Chinook -- proceed up Hwy 525 until you come to Campbell Road. Turn left. Follow Campbell Road (crossing Cultus Bay Road) until you come to a sign on your left that says "Chinook". Turn left and look for the parking attendant.
BY CAR: From Port Townsend, take Keystone Ferry. Turn right after the ferry. At the 'T' in the road turn right again onto Hwy 525. Proceed down Hwy 525 almost all the way to the town of Clinton. At Campbell Road turn Right. Follow Campbell Road (crossing Cultus Bay Road) until you come to a sign on your left that says "Chinook". Turn left and look for the parking attendant.
